Technical Requirements
The Spirit Horse Returns is available to book now. Requirements:
• Services of two performers are provided by Spirit Horse Returns.
• A projector, screen, and appropriate computer system for visual art must be provided. Visual art is supplied as multiple movie cues in a QLab environment.
• A stage manager to call multiple music theatre-type cues is required and can possibly be supplied. A cue sheet and script are supplied.
Lighting can be varied to suit the facility.
Instrumentation
Full orchestra version: 2(1.2Picc)2(1.2EH)22 / 4331 / timp.perc / hp (keyboard possible) / str
Small orchestra version (minimum 26 musicians): 2(1.2Picc)2(1.2EH)22 / 2210 / timp.perc / hp (keyboard possible) / str
Chamber version (‘Histoire du Soldat” repertory version): violin, bass, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, percussion
Runtime: 70 minutes (Options available for a 55 minute “educational” version is available on demand, and an extended 80-minute version)
Spiral-bound books for each musician are supplied. A score with all text cues is supplied, as well as audio/video rehearsal resources for the use of the musicians, conductor, and stage crew.
Options to add Indigenous, local, and youth performers (eg. fiddle, dancers, soloists) and artwork.
